Kansas Citians are flocking to our local parks, trails, and sidewalks, but many are too narrow or too crowded for people to maintain appropriate physical distance. Meanwhile, traffic has dropped dramatically on local streets and dangerous driving is a problem with the remaining drivers.
BikeWalkKC has proposed a range of ideas to slow down the cars and create space for people for safely go outside. Ideas like making traffic lights four-way stops, closing parks to cars, creating pop-up bike lanes, or closing neighborhood streets to through traffic.
