In 2011, David moved from KC to LA, where he learned the joy of biking swiftly through a city rife with gridlock. He ditched his car, joined a DIY bike cooperative, and learned how to build bitchin’ bikes from used parts.
Five years later, David felt the urge to live in a city where he could be a more effective advocate for active transportation and simple living. Now back in Kansas City, he wants to make it safer and easier for others to leave their cars at home. As part of the BikeWalkKC team, he leads some of our BLAST classes and Bike Clubs, teaching others how to ride the urban landscape, and helps to keep our education programs operating smoothly and efficiently.
