Geography is one of the important things we consider as strive towards an organization that fully represents the diversity of Greater Kansas City. If you are in Eastern Jack and are passionate about our mission to redefine our streets as places for people to build a culture of active living, we want to hear from you!
Our BLAST program (Bike Lesson and Safety Training) teaches 5th graders the skills they need to bike safely and confidently to school or around their neighborhood. In 2017 we are excited to start offering BLAST in the Independence School District. Learn more.
Safe Routes to School
BikeWalkKC provides technical assistance and programs to schools and school districts to help them get more kids walking and biking to school. Learn more.

Route 50/291 Interchange
A new interchange for these two highways in Lee's Summit will include the first protected bike/ped crossing over US 50 Hwy. Learn more via MoDOT.
Rock Island corridor trail and Katy Trail State Park connection
Groundbreaking for this highly anticipated project will happen soon, with the first sections of trail opening by the end of 2018. Learn more.
Downtown Lee's Summit Bike Parking Plan
A new plan is in the works to provide bike parking for visitors to Downtown businesses and destinations.

Livable Streets Lee's Summit
Serve as Lee’s Summit’s citizen advisory board to the City Council and promote livable streets principles in planning, advocating, and encouraging an accessible, safe, efficient, and sustainable transportation network. Meetings are held the 3rd Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. in City Hall's Strothers meeting room.
