The 2018 Education Programs report highlights a year of progress

The Education Team accomplished much last year, and you can find the details in the hot-off-the-presses 2018 Annual Education Report. Here are a few highlights:

6,000 students engaged in bicycle education, including BLAST, Earn-A-Bike, and Bike Club.

Wyandotte County now has 22 schools engaged in the WYCO Safe Routes to School program.

56 adults learned to navigate city streets by bicycle in our Confident City Cycling classes.

Staff assisted with the installation and programming of 6 traffic calming events around the region, demonstrating the strength of walkable, bikable, accessible neighborhoods.

What’s coming in 2019? Keep an eye out for more classes for adults and families, schools adopting their own BLAST programs, and our second Regional Safe Routes to School Summit.
