Our vision for the future of Kansas City includes the majority of metro residents living in cities officially designated as Bicycle Friendly Communities. This program from the League of American Bicyclists assesses communities' commitment to bicycling through the presence of bike lanes, trails, bike parking, city policies and procedures, bike-friendly laws, and much more.

The Bicycle Friendly award recognizes cities, businesses, and universities that go above and beyond to embrace bicycling. It's a powerful statement to your citizens, employees, customers, and campus that bicycling is a solution to our health, environmental, and transportation problems.
